Aloha. I am Mike Elwood. I am a self taught lampworker, musician, computer programmer, husband, father, friend..................and a dude who really digs turtles.
Here's one reason.......
You don't pick your animal spirit guide, it picks you. One day a bunch of years ago, I met a Honu, a green sea turtle while swimming by myself off the coast of Maui. At it's request, I yanked a big 'ol ball of fishing line out of her mouth. That single communication sparked an admiration in me that manifested itself in my glasswork. Now I live on the island of Oahu, and get to see my buddies whenever I want to cruise down to the beach. They are always there to say Aloha!
I make lots of glass turtles and I get a lot of repeat turtle-lovin' buyers who like to collect my little creatures. What's really cool is that I've made friends and customers all over the world and continue to do so every day. I truly appreciate all your business, and strive to make the best quality product that I can make. Each piece is entirely handmade by me in my glass shop and annealed in my trusty kiln.

This is my son, Adam. He is a Marine Biology major at University of Hawaii. Each Honu purchased contibutes directly to this future scientist and educator. He is literally becoming a Marine Biologist on the backs of each Honu that you buy from Epoxydog.com.
